On Wednesday night, downtown Orlando's The Social morphed into The Land of Ooo, the home of champion adventurers Finn and Jake from Cartoon Network's Adventure Time. This event, presented by The K.O.P.S. as Level 2 in its costume party series, was fantastically executed.
Big shout-out to Danielle Douglas for all her hard work decorating, organizing, and making candy (no, not the kind you eat). Also, a thank you to Tali Lisman for entertaining us throughout the night with her massive hoop skills (I picked my hoop up a few times, only to be put to shame).
What a great event! I had a blast. (If you didn't see me, I was in the back room peddling my wares and giving away free massages.) I met some awesome people, had great conversations, and laughed to my heart's content. Not to mention all the toys.
For now, I'm off to Spirit of the Suwannee for Aura Music & Arts Festival, a weekend of great music and good vibes. You can catch me front row at Papadosio, dancing my soul out.
