Sneak Peek: Rootwire 2K13

Rootwire Music Festival 2K13
Rootwire Music and Arts Festival — hosted by one of my favorites, Papadosio — is coming back around this year to Logan, Ohio, on the weekend of August 15-18. The lineup is looking incredible, with three sets of Papadosio and the support of names like Karsh Kale, ESKMO, Bluetech, and Dopapod.

From the website:
“If you don’t know by now, Papadosio’s Rootwire is a gathering that puts every effort into the integrity of the discerning attendants experience, creating a fully immersive environment full of wonder and intrigue. This 4 day and night extravaganza has been developed with the intention of pure inspiration, designed from the ground up to get all in attendance excited about the act of personal and collective creation. The musical lineup is hand selected personally by Papadosio, and features jaw dropping sounds from local, regional, national and international acts.”
These are high intentions, and I believe Rootwire 2K13 will live up to every one of them. Showcasing more than just music, this festival promises to be an all-encompassing experience for all in attendance. Guided night sky tours, presentations by cultural and spiritual leaders, live painting by amazing visionary artists, and yoga classes are just some of the things that will make this festival very special.

Papadosio itself is very excited for this year’s festival, so you know that’s a good sign. Calling this year’s lineup the best ever, the band has taken steps to make Rootwire more inviting and welcoming to people of all age groups, as well as more eco-friendly with an emphasis on being local. Known for its strong messages of unity and spiritual growth, Papadosio has made a serious effort to have its festival reflect those same messages. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

I say this is definitely one to look forward to and not to miss. Hopefully I’ll be seeing you all in Kaeppner’s Woods next month.
